This months award goes to Mark for the capture of a fine male skate, weighing in at 114lb. After a dose of wind and rain it was a minor miracle that a fish was caught at all in January, but Mark did not let the side down and bagged a worthy winner. Well done that man !
Congrats to Magnet on winning the coveted Fish of the Year award for 2013, with his potential record breaking 70lb Tope. An incredible Tope, that thankfully was returned to fight another day, was captured by the great man in late August, from a well known hot-spot. It has been on the cards for a long time and who better to land it than he puts the most into it, well done to Mark and sure you will have a go at breaking the 70lb mark again in 2014.

This award for 2013 was a complete walkover, with no one coming near to competing with the winner. Congrats to Graham on winning this award for 2013 , with his now famous video of the basking shark. I have watched this too many times now and I know I will watch it many more times, its a must view for anyone who has any interest in the sea. So well done Graham and we all look forward to many more memorable vids.
A worthy winner of this award for 2013 , with Martyn’s “Screeming does the Double Double !! Rosslare and Cork”. A fine tale of an epic adventure and a must read for all. Its one thing to do the double, its some achievement to do it two years in a row.

The team of Screeming Reels achieved a double double, buy following up on last years small boats double with the same achievement again this year. A truly remarkable feat, by any stretch of the imagination. The double consists of winning the Rosslare Small boats festival and the Cork small boats festival. To win either is an achievement , to win both, 2 years running is second to none.
Well done to all involved, all the dedication and effort paid off yet again, with an element of skill thrown in as well methinks.
