Castlemaine was the venue, the target was bass and the angler a somewhat familiar face to most of us. The bombarda float method , with a rigged sandeel imitation did the job nicely, with this fine bass falling to Sean’s tactics. Fair play to him for returning the fish to fight another day

Ding-a-Ling

The good ship Screeming Reels took to the water on a fair February day. The crew were no novices and proved this with some fine catches , including plenty of good pollack, a specimen red gurnard and a whopper of a 19lb 2oz Ling to top the day off.

Cognito’s Cork Collection

A long awaited first post from a long time member and well worth the wait. Cod to 9lb, Haddock to 4lb, Dabs to 1lb and Whitings to 2lb, just to mention a few, made this trip one to remember.

Cork Conger & Cod for Cianfisher

These two likely lads took full advantage of the fair weather to go on a Cork harbour conger and cod bash. Plenty of fish crossed the gunnels of the fair ship Cianfisher, with the father and son team nabbing both targeted species.
