2 piece rod now a one piece

Help
one of my rods won't disassemble.Have tried wd40 with no joy,but don't see any way of freeing the top section from the spigot joint-any ideas. Otherwise I'Ll have to get a bigger car

If you get some duct tape and wrap it round the blank with it folded so it sticks to the blank and leaves a sticky side up as well it gives you something to grip. Hope this helps

You could try some releasing fluid - WD40 or teflon types and then heat the outer spigot with hot water and then use some plumbers freezing spray on the end section, near to the inner spigot.

had something the same happen to me, was shown a neat trick.. Ice :D get a couple of things outa the freezer and put around the joint give it a while and it should work, might take a while and a few goes but it worked for me :D :D :wink:

Run cold water over the top section of the rod while pouring hot water over the bottom end and get help to twist and pull. :D :D

Thanks guys , tomorrow I'll be applying liberal amounts of hot water,ice ,duck tape and rubber gloves to the offending rod.Not sure what the wife will make of me
